Forever Ago

So I know that it has been forever ago since I posted anything.
I don't have a computer right now and I'm borrowing my daughters today to type this.
    So much has happened.
Our daughter came for a weeks visit in October and brought that newest grandbaby.  We loved the visit. Of course we had to buy her a few onesies that showed our pride in Alabama Football.  Love and miss that baby tons when she isn't here.
For my birthday, I got my very own copy of the Trim Healthy Mama book and cookbook! Oh My Goodness! I was so excited! So the week after my birthday I started the plan. Like the book says this really is a life style, not a diet. It's healthy eating. I lost eleven pounds in just over a month.
Then of course Thanksgiving happened and I gained a couple back by eating junk food filled with sugar.
However, I am now back on plan and eating healthy again.  In just under a week, I've lost one pound again and working on continuing the trend. At least until Christmas. I know, I'm weak. But the awesome thing about THM is that it is filled with Grace and no guilt. I'm not hungry all of the time like when I would do a diet. As a matter of fact, I usually have to push away from my plate because I get full before I'm finished with what's on my plate. There are even lots of good for you sweetie things. I love the GGMS (good girl moon shine), you can pull the recipe up on line. And another of my favorites is the Shrinker. Goodness it is yummy!
So, I guess you get the idea that I am really excited about THM. If you want a healthy life style check it out. Even if you don't need to lose any weight, check it out. It's that good. I looked into it because I had friends that were so excited about it and I was seeing results in them. After checking the original book out of the library and reading it, I started a pinterest board for all of the THM things that I could find. When the new books came out, I asked for them for my birthday. Best birthday gift! One day soon I hope to post some before and after pictures.
I'll try to come back and write more soon.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone.
Praying for our world and that God will bless you all.

Filet Crochet

I have a sweet friend that I help out from time to time. She is an older lady and like me loves the old fashioned things in life.

Just before Christmas she was trying to find a couple of doilies to cover an old wing back chair that her kitty had clawed the arms of. I remembered that I had a couple of patterns for filet crochet that would work.
After I looked at the patterns, it was narrowed down to one, because only one was the right size for her chair.
So here it is about three weeks after Christmas and I have finally finished the covers. They turned out really nice. Although I'm not the best at blocking things. So they look a little wonkie in the picture. Overall, I'm pleased.
The pattern can be found in Leisure Arts Little Books, Filet Crochet.

Not sure if this book can still be found. The copyright date is 2002. If interested check out the Leisure Arts website.
      Blessings to All ~S~
